Carbon Steel Bar - Flat, Hex, Round, Square
  • Carbon steel bar is stocked in flat, hex, round, and square. Carbon steel is ideal for many industrial products and applications where strength and durability are required. Increased carbon content will raise carbon steel’s hardness and strength. Inversely, lower carbon content results in a softer (mild) carbon steel that is easier to machine and weld.
  • Processing includes cutting options custom to your specifications.
    1. Low carbon = .06% to .25% carbon content (mild steel)
    2. Medium carbon = .25% to .55% carbon content (medium steel)
    3. High carbon = >.55% to 1.00% carbon content (hard steel)
Carbon Steel Tube & Pipe
  • Products are manufactured from steel alloy materials, which are used to produce products such as seamless steel pipe, square steel tubing, round steel pipe, carbon steel seamless pipe, and much more. Carbon steel pipe and tube products provide a range of beneficial advantages for many industrial applications.
  • Carbon steel tubing and pipe products are available in several grade options to suit your application requirements
  • ASTM A500 carbon steel tubing is a standard specification for cold-formed welded and seamless carbon steel structural tubing in round, square and rectangular shapes. ASTM A500 is the most common specification in North America for Hollow Structural Sections (HSS).

Low-carbon steel plates

  • Often used as a general-purpose tooling metal because of its mechanical structure and ease of machinability. Hot-rolled carbon steel plates and sheets are ideal for drilling, grinding, and tapping. Carbon steel also provides exceptional welding properties for a range of applications.
  • Steel is commonly considered carbon steel when no minimum content is specified for any alloying element or any other element added to obtain a desired alloy effect. The manganese does not exceed 1.65%, the specified minimum for copper is not below .40% or exceed .60%, and silicon does not exceed .60%. There are low, medium, and high-carbon steel plates. The more carbon content in a plate, the more durable it becomes.

Carbon steel sheets

  • The specific type of carbon steel sheet is selected based on how it will be used. It is categorized into low, medium, and high as well as into several grades. Uses range from machined parts, to cutting blades and knives, structural applications in construction, punches, dies, springs, and more. Arlo stocks a wide range of options including drawing quality, “Corten”, galvanized, and galvannealed.
  • A1011/1018 CS Type B hot rolled sheet - A1011 CS Type B - a hot rolled commercial quality carbon steel sheet suitable for many applications where normal surface imperfections are not objectionable. Heat treatment and other processing operations must be properly performed to not detrimentally affect the properties of the steel. Commercial quality will meet the bend test requirements of it.

Carbon structural steel shapes

  • Ideal for industrial construction projects requiring high strength where low luster Is not an issue. We stock a wide range of sizes and shapes to suit your project needs.
  • Structural steel shapes are available in several options to meet your unique project requirements. We can cut, miter cut, and bundle cut.
  • Carbon steel angle is hot rolled steel or high strength low alloy steel bars shaped to a 90 degree ‘L’ shaped bar. The sides or legs of the “L” may be equal or unequal. Structural steel angle shapes are often used in applications that aid in improving rigidity and good resistance to bending in any direction. You will find carbon steel angles in heavy-duty construction like bridges, warehouses, cable towers, and buildings. Carbon steel angle is also found in lighter items including bed frames, chairs, benches, and other furniture.
